The Plant of Love

Love is a very tender plant, but very few know it.

It takes a lot of loving care, if you really want to grow it.

First it needs the the soil of a warm receptive heart: 

Then it needs the water of sweet words to really get a start.

Frequently the plant of love needs a caring thought or touch:

It's the little things that count, and they are really not that much.

Everyone needs the plant of love to really be alive;

For without true love for another, it is difficult to survive.
