I Met A Girl Tomorrow 

I met a girl tomorrow,

Whose smile reached back to today.

She said "I'll always love you."

In her simple trusting way.

I promised faithfulness forever

But then began to cry.

Because forever means the past,

And for that I told a lie.

I remembered all the others,

Who I'd thought and told the same.

And I wished that I'd been patient

Instead of playing at that game.

So when we meet tomorrow.

I mean everything I say.

I love you but I'm sorry 

I've said it all today.
