Missing You

Already I am missing you

And all your special ways--

Each kind and caring thing you did

That brightened up my days.

On quiet nights I still can hear

Soft echoes of your voice.

I close my eyes and see your face

And feel my heart rejoice.

Your memory will dwell with me

Until my days are done.

Or till together once again

We greet the rising sun.

Forgive me if I shed a tear

Because we are apart.

For you will always be with me

Within my mind and heart.

God saw you getting tired, A cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around you and whispered "come with me." 

With teary eyes we watched you suffer, and saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
